Georgia-Pacific has an immediate opening for an Onboarding Supervisor at Brookneal Oriented Strand Board (OSB) located in Gladys, VA.

The Onboarding Coordinator will work closely with plant leaders to ensure the training of all employees will support the needs of the facility.

What You Will Do



* Serve as the program owner for New Employee Orientation.


* Holds regular touch-point meetings with new employees.


* Works as a liaison with site leadership on behalf of the new employees and the issues brought forward.


* Works closely with Production Supervisors to ensure that employees are placed where they will be most successful.


* Ensures new employees are provided with performance feedback through the probationary review process.


* Supports cross-training with existing employees.


* Ensures that all team members are successfully trained up to performance standards, and all training documentation is completed and filed appropriately.


* Ensures that all skill-based documentation remains updated with operator proficiency.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)



* High School Diploma or GED


* Minimum of 3 years of supervisory/team management experience or a Bachelor's Degree


* Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel) and ability to learn various PC-Based production reporting systems applications


* Knowledge of general safe work practices

What Will Put You Ahead



* Previous experience with Training/New Employee Orientation sessions


* Previous experience in manufacturing
