Rip Technician

AHF Products has a job opportunity for an Rip Technician to be located in Beverly, WV.

Reporting to the Rough End Supervisor, the Rip Technician will play a crucial role by owning the operation and maintenance of the systems.

JOB DUTIES:
• Ability to operate and maintain or be willing to learn to operate both rip systems
• Be able to audit and adjust setting for Rip Saws per specification
• Enter all data into database daily
• Reports production or workforce problems to supervisor.
• Responsible for routine maintenance and repairs
• Always follow all safety guidelines to eliminate accidental injury.
• Maintain property, plant, and equipment to support and improve the safe production and performance of operations.
• Complete weekly PM’s as generated
• Must be Lock-Out/Tag-Out Certified
• Be a role model for safety.

Promote a zero-injury safety culture and find ways to continuously improve safety culture in the workplace.
• Stop any observed work activities or conditions that are dangerous, illegal, or against company policy.
• Identify safety issues in the workplace and assume responsibility to take immediate action to correct or immediately escalate to appropriate level for resolution.
• Participating in Continuous Improvement, also provide suggestions to improve processes and participate in team projects.
• Identifying areas for improvement
• All other duties as assigned by the Supervisor

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
• General knowledge of the rip system
• General maintenance ability
• Ability to perform PM’s correctly and in a timely manner
• Effective communication, including speaking, writing, active listening and taking instruction
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures, with a commitment to creating a safe work environment
• Ability to effectively work in a team environment
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow established policies and procedures
• Proficient computer skills
• Ability and willingness to work core hours to support the needs of our Business
• Must be able to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment
• Ability to work in a manufacturing setting where dust is generated
