Georgia-Pacific (GP) is offering an exciting opportunity for a Product Owner, Data and Analytic Platforms - Data & Analytics who will oversee the data platform vision and roadmap, ensure alignment and enablement of the GP data and analytics strategy, manage Agile backlogs across platform teams, prioritize features based on business value, gather feedback from business and technical stakeholders, and translate feedback into actionable features and requirements.

This Product Owner plays a pivotal role as a bridge between stakeholders, data consumers, and technical teams helping to deliver continuous value to the GP organization.

What You Will Do



* Principle Based Management: Provide a framework to align our platform decisions and work efforts based on our Principle Based Management culture.

Foster a vision based on value opportunities, and a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.


* Defining Product Vision and Strategy: Develop and clearly articulate data platform vision, goals, direction, roadmap, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to guide engineering and measure success.


* Backlog Management: Owning and prioritizing the data platform product backlogs based on business value, ensuring user stories clearly articulate business needs and acceptance criteria.


* Stakeholder Engagement: Gathering requirements from diverse stakeholders, including data analysts, business partners and users, and technical teams, to understand their data needs and translate them into actionable product features.


* Data Quality: Establish features to enable monitoring data quality, identifying issues, and collaborate with data engineers to implement necessary data capability to enable our data quality practices.


* Data Governance: Ensure compliance with GP data security and privacy policies, and drive a culture of automation and technology flows to enable GP data governance practices.


* User and Stakeholder Feedback Analysis: Actively collect and analyze feedback to identify areas for improvement and prioritize feature enhancements.


* Collaboration with Platform Teams: Working closely with data engineers and architects to ensure technical feasibility and efficient implementation of data platform features.
