Warehouse Assistant, Seasonal
Position Summary: Responsible for inventory control, receiving activities and general oversight of the warehouse and sponsor clothing inventory.
Position Responsibilities
* Perform inventory control including inventory cycle counts, solving discrepancies and assisting with physical inventories
* Create and maintain spreadsheets with accurate inventory numbers
* Create and maintain databases
* Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
* Count items for distribution within organization to ensure conformance to company standards.
* Pull and issues sponsor gear kits to students, coaches, sports and employees according to sponsor agreements.
* Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or sport.
* Receive, store, and distribute materials, tools, equipment, and products within establishments.
* Maintain a safe warehouse and safe use of all equipment
* Assist with shipping when necessary.
* Convey materials and items from receiving or sport areas to storage or to other designated areas.
* Mark materials with identifying information.
* Prepare product for storage and/or delivery.
* Enter records into the computer
* Provide communication to management of daily tasks and if tasks cannot be accomplished within a regular work day
* Maintain overall appearance, cleanliness, neatness, etc...of the shipping/receiving area
* Adhering to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes
* Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Ability
* Experience in shipping/receiving functions
* Proficient in Excel
* Experience creating and maintaining databases and spreadsheets
* Must be able to perform simple arithmetic operations (add, subtract, multiply and divide).
* Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills
* A superior work ethic
* Desire to work collaboratively with colleagues
* Must be able to operate a forklift
* Must be able to operate a pallet jack
* Must have a valid license to operate machinery
* Ability to utilize computer systems to process incoming and outgoing material/products
* Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple projects
* Ability to multitask in a fast-paced organization
Preferred Skills
* Bilingual
Physical Demands and Work Environment
* Ability to lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 50lbs.
* Should be able to handle indoor/outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time.
* Must be able to move around campus which includes gym, turf, fields, etc.
* Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays is required
