Production Supervisor
The Supervisor will be responsible for the overall safety, quality, service, cost productivity, and employee morale of assigned department.
The Production Supervisor serves as a liaison to management on manufacturing, quality, process and engineering related issues.
Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of production and operating workers, such as inspectors, assemblers, fabricators, machine, tool setters, test and other plant and system operators.
A successful Supervisor can anticipate and adapt to change, and make the required adjustments to schedules.
Enforce Safety and Environmental regulations.
Recognize the importance of safety in workplace following the Safety Commitment
Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of goods, such as assembly, inspect machines and fabricators.
Assign tasks, give direct instructions per employee and per workstation.
Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
Maintain capacity plans to meet or changes as required.
Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
Attend quality meetings.
Maintain the quality manual updated.
Observe work and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards.
Conduct employee training in equipment operations or work and safety procedures, or assign employee training to experienced workers.
Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers.
Keep records of employees' attendance and hours worked.
Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
In partnership with Management develop solutions, programs and procedures.
Communicate daily the customer's order status and corrective actions required to maintain schedule and quality.
Prepare action plans to recover production or past dues.
Maintain cleanliness in area.
Qualifications
Education
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Manufacturing, Electrical or Industrial Engineering.
* At minimum of two (2) years of experience in manufacturing or engineering.
Experience in Industrial, Telecommunications, Fabrication, or Electrical Power Generation a plus.
* ü Production and Processing - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
ü Administration and Management - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
