Supplier Quality Engineer
The supplier quality engineer is responsible for handling and control of all supplier requirements that directly affect the quality of products during production.
Conducting through supplier audits to measure performance, Sr Supplier Quality Engineer should have a strong grasp of auditing principles, practices, and the ability to identify areas for improvement.
This includes development, review, and approval of suppliers' drawings, processes, specification conditions, and materials.
Collaborate with customers to understand their quality requirements and ensure their satisfaction and communicate the customer requirements to the suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components.
Collaboration with different departments, such as procurement, engineering, and production, work effectively within cross-functional teams to achieve quality and logistic goals.
It also entails monitoring experience-based factors that may influence the ability of a supplier to carry out their tasks correctly and ensuring compliance with the agreement.
Lead and mentor a team of quality professionals, providing guidance and support, conducting regular training sessions to ensure team members from Schneider Electric or from Suppliers are up to date with the latest quality standards and practices.
Review, and approval actions plans from Schneider Approval Module.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
* Lean Green Belt Cert
* Lean Black Belt is a plus.
* >5 years or relevant experience in a Quality role
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Preferred Skills
* Experiences with Molding, Stamping, Welding, Assembly Process
* Experiences as Internal Auditor of ISO9001, 14000, 26000, OSHAS 18000
* Knowledge of Quality Core Tools like SPC, FMEA, Control Plan, 8D Methodology.
* Analytics Software (Power BI, Tabloid)
This position reports to the NAM Customer Satisfaction and Quality Manager and is a Key contributor to the overall success of Quality Team.
This position is to travel 50% of the time.
