Maintenance Supervisor
Job Summary
Responsible for all aspects of maintenance, including conducting regular repairs, inspections, forecasts, upgrades, and installations of new processes.
Leads a team that ensures equipment meets ConMet standards for safety, quality, and reliability. Ensures that quality and workmanship standards are met and continuously improved. Highly motivated individual willing to perform hands-on applications involving electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
* Surveys all processes on a regular basis.
Develops maintenance routines for major equipment. Implements and executes a preventative and predictive maintenance program.
* Expedites work in response to equipment failures, performing inspections and determining corrective actions.
* Oversees equipment repairs including all production machines, fixtures, tooling, and facility necessaries.
Verifies that the work performed meets specifications.
* Leads, mentors, and develops a professional maintenance team that covers all shifts, including skill assessments, training plans, and delegating activities as needed to meet production requirements.
* Assists in assuring all equipment is safe for employees to operate.
Replaces or repairs inoperative machine guards or malfunctioning equipment. Recognizes and initiates actions for process abnormalities and other process issues.
* Leads and supports the implementation and upkeep of our asset management system, including maintenance work orders and critical parts for repair of key equipment.
* Files documentation to verify PM has been performed to ISO / IATF specifications.
Abides by ConMet quality policy with reference to ISO / IATF work instructions.
* Fills out work orders and assists equipment vendors on-site as needed.
* Submits requisitions to Purchasing Department for specialized repairs and new parts.
* Manages monthly maintenance spending & quarterly forecast projections to ensure uptime requirements are met while maintaining spending per plan.
* Uses maintenance software to track and coordinate progress and upcoming events or actions.
* Utilizes reliability management tools (MTBF/MTTR) to improve equipment efficiency/uptime.
* Participates in safety meetings and performs monthly safety checks to stay in compliance with the ConMet safety program.
Assists in training of employees in production and safety.
* Assists in applying all federal regulations that would influence ConMet with safety and environmental issues.
Assists in OSHA, EPA, and other government regulated inspections.
* Uses micrometers, calipers, and other gauges required to inspect product.
* Expresses a willingness to assist in all operations of manufacturing product at ConMet.
* Other duties as assigned.
