The Vice President (VP), Medical Affairs, US Solid Tumor is responsible for leading the strategy and delivery of the Solid Tumor medical and scientific value proposition to customers to improve patient outcomes in the US.

The position will report to the President, US Oncology, and will be an enterprise leader serving the US Oncology Leadership Team, working in close collaboration with the global R&D and medical affairs teams.

The role will be accountable for the following:



* Design the overarching strategic and tactical plans necessary to cement and grow Janssen's world class Solid Tumor portfolio of products resulting in transformational patient outcomes


* Achieve the clinical, scientific and value-oriented differentiation required to compete along the decision making continuum for key marketed products through company sponsored research and Investigator Initiated Studies and the development of publication/communication strategies


* Lead the high scale growth and transformation of US Medical Affairs Solid Tumor organization with a focus to evolve talent, teams and culture.

Build a culture of collaboration and candor - by demonstrating leadership behaviors and working collectively across the organization.


* Preparedness of several product launches over the next 2-3 years in current and new therapeutic areas and in new business models


* Development of an evolved field and operating model to deliver on patient, physician, payer, health system and Oncology practice goals that provide true solutions for unmet needs in cancer care


* Champion and accelerate digital and analytic strategies to enhance stakeholder engagement, education, communication, and insight gathering


* Create advocacy and partnership with Key Individuals (KIs) and external parties inclusive of medical societies and patient organizations, living and creating an environment of customer focus and centricity
