About the Role:
Are you highly organised and enjoy providing effective support services to a team? Then we want to hear from you!
We are seeking an experienced Business Support Officer to join our Portland Aluminium team.
Working on a part time basis of 15 hours a week, you will be accountable for providing administrative, organisational and information management support to internal and external customers adding value to the business by delivering a cost effective, prompt, reliable and timely support service.
Responsibilities include:
* Attends training and meetings to understand plant processes and procedures.
* Provides project management and audit support using relevant software and office equipment.
* Prepares reports, presentations, meeting agendas, and minutes accurately and timely.
* Maintains accurate records, including safety, medical, inductions, and training.
* Facilitates communication for internal and external customers, handling messages and mail distribution.
* Coordinates special events professionally to meet business expectations.
* Applies ABS terminology and principles to reports and processes.
* Reduces administrative expenses by managing stationery and catering within budget.
* Supports HR by compiling information and maintaining records.
* Maintains site drawing information system, ensuring accurate cataloging and register of technical drawings.

What you can bring to the role:
* Experience of working in an office environment where you provided support services with a high level of organisational skill in managing priorities
* Familiar with Microsoft packages and ability to pick up systems easily
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to be adaptable and work under pressure
* Respectful of sensitive or confidential information.
* Happy to work independently or within in a team environment
