Procurement Project Leader

The Procurement Project Leader supports North America Engineering To Order (NAM ETO) initiatives, focusing on product localization, business continuity, and productivity.

This role coordinates procurement activities across various teams and implements strategies to meet ETO needs while emphasizing growth, innovation, and sustainability.

Recognized as a procurement expert, this individual collaborates effectively within the Line of Business and the Schneider Electric Procurement community.

Travel Expectations up to 20%.

What will you do?


* Understand localization projects and the evolution roadmap of the product line.


* Coordinate the procurement strategy across product localization.


* Analyze and challenge project needs and roadmaps.


* Influence strategic supplier choices to ensure that category management aligns with business needs.


* Bring supplier market knowledge and innovation into projects.


* Lead the supplier mapping and selection process.


* Conduct end-to-end negotiations, from preparation to business award (including electronic Request for Quotation).


* Provide inputs for Component Risk Management and Supplier Risk Management analysis to the project team.


* Be accountable for procurement activities within product localization projects and for the development of various procurement deliverables.


* Guide the selection of components and sub-assemblies with a procurement approach, focusing on target costs, Total Cost of Ownership, innovation, sustainability, avoiding single sourcing, promoting component standardization, and ensuring supply chain flexibility, resilience, and quality.


* Contribute to make-or-buy decisions.


* Challenge specifications, define Production Part Approval Process, and lead contract reviews.

Who does this position reports to? Senior ETO Cluster Manager.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?


* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business is required; a master's degree or MBA is a plus.


* Minimum of 8 years in a procurement or sourcing team within a multinational corporation.


* Experience in procurement and supplier management is mandatory, with a proven ability to develop procurement strategies and manage supplier relationships.


* Experience leading localization efforts is a plus.


* Experience and understanding of the components supply chain, along with industrial product application experience, is a plus.

Strong business acumen is essential.
