Pharmacy Technician

We are hiring a Pharmacy Technician who will be responsible for assisting Pharmacists in preparing prescription medications for dispensing as well as handling billing.

This role provides high quality customer service by phone and in person, maintains the supplies required for operations while ensuring the cleanliness in the pharmacy.

The Pharmacy Tech is responsible for maintaining all documentation accurately and in accordance with State and Federal Laws as well as following HIPPA guidelines.

A successful candidate will be detail oriented, possess great organizational and customer service skills, as well as be a good problem solver.

Hours:



* Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM


* Thursday & Friday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Responsibilities



* Assists in dispensing medications and medical supplies.


* Corresponds with patients regarding medical issues.


* Enters prescriptions into the computer system.


* Orders medications and over the counter items.


* Answering phones


* Maintains the cleanliness in the pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.


* Completes cash register deposits.


* Maintains pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed medications and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt; removing outdated drugs.


* Other duties as assigned.

Desired Experience



* Basic knowledge of medical center and pharmacy protocol as well as benefits offered.


* Basic knowledge of current Ohio and Federal pharmacy regulations


* Advanced communication and math skills


* Excellent prioritizing and multitasking skills


* Knowledge of MS Office and ability to operate a cash register.


* Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.


* Customer service focus


* Prior pharmacy technician experience preferred.
