MATERIAL HANDLER
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Material Handler II to join our team at Weatherford, a leading organization in the Oil & Energy industry.
In this role, you will be responsible for operating specialized lifting equipment, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and contributing to the efficient movement and storage of materials within our facilities.
Responsibilities
* Operate lifting equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, and jib cranes, ensuring proper handling and transportation of materials
* Load and unload equipment from trucks, adhering to safety guidelines and procedures
* Perform manual handling of equipment when necessary, following proper techniques to prevent injuries
* Fold and move equipment within storage areas or workshops, maintaining organization and efficiency
* Install and replace removable load grip devices and mechanisms as required
* Pre-order fuel, lubricants, and spare parts to ensure seamless operations
* Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by line management, ensuring timely and safe execution
Requirements
* Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience in material handling or a related field
* Ability to operate hand tools, forklifts, cranes, and other lifting and securing devices
* Proficiency in basic mathematical and measurement computations
* Valid state motor vehicle operator's license and forklift truck license
* Strong customer service orientation and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
* Adaptability to change and multitasking capabilities
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
Education
* High School Diploma or equivalent is required
Certifications
* Specialized trade certification for operating lifting equipment is mandatory
