Security Guard

Amsted Automotive, Cold Form and Finishing (CFF) Division, is seeking a Security Guard who will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our premises, employees and visitors.

The ideal candidate will have excellent observational skills, strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to handle potentially stressful situations calmly and effectively.

ABOUT THE ROLE


* Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.


* Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances.


* Provide assistance to employees and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.


* Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.


* Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas.


* Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property.


* Enforce company policies and procedures related to security and safety.


* Assist in emergency situations, including evacuations and medical emergencies.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED


* High school diploma or equivalent.


* Proven experience as a security guard or relevant position.


* Ability to operate security systems and emergency equipment.


* Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols.


* Surveillance skills and detail orientation.


* Integrity and professionalism.


* Physical fitness to perform the duties of the job, including standing for long periods and patrolling large areas.


* Certification in first aid and CPR


* Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.


* Exposure to various weather conditions while patrolling.
