In this role, you will:
* Assist in the development and management of occupational safety, health, and hygiene program resources to ensure Mill, Sector and corporate objectives are met.
Constantly works and communicates in a manner that fully supports world class goals of no loss, no incidents.
* Learns technical expertise in safety, employee health and industrial hygiene to Mill personnel and maintains OSHA regulated policies.
* Support teams of employees in integrating safety, health and hygiene in all facets of manufacturing, including the development of safe work procedures and task analysis.
* Assists in development, maintenance and implementation of procedures and other instructions relative to occupational safety, health and hygiene.
* Conducts training programs relative to occupational safety, health and hygiene.
* Ensures development, maintenance, and coordination of a system for investigating safety issues, near misses, accidents, and property losses.
* Ensure continued safe work practices of self and others by complying with company and governmental regulations.
Maintain good housekeeping standards while eliminating and preventing losses of all types (injuries, illnesses, process loss, property damage).
* The creation and presentation of a final presentation on key learnings during Co-op / Internship experience.
