Occupational Health Nurse

We are looking for an Occupational Health nurse based at our manufacturing site in Aiken, South Carolina.

 In this role you will be responsible for providing treatment to employees for occupational injuries and illness and manage worker’s compensation cases from the time of injury to return to work.

Conduct surveillance medical exams and implement, manage and evaluate Aiken’s Health Standardization Plan.

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE: 


* You will provide treatment to employees for occupational injuries and illness.


* You will maintain records of treatment and all required agency recordkeeping such as OSHA logs and DHEC records.


* You will manage worker’s compensation cases from the time of injury to return to work.


* You will ensure compliance with Emerson standards and corporate policy.


* You will lead and provide training for the First Responder Team.


* You will coordinate wellness programs for the plant as well as assist in the coordination of all safety programs.


* You will provide input on the monthly safety newsletter.


* You will update and maintain safety nursing communication bulletin board.


* You will build reports and presentations to highlight metrics from programs and injury statistics


* You will work with EHS Manager to investigates all work-related accidents involving employees


* You will counsel employees on personal health matters.  Keeps current on community resources for referral purposes. 


* You will conduct onsite exams for company programs such as, but not limited to new hire drug screens and fork lift operator medical exams

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED: 


* Current RN license for the state of South Carolina.


* 2+ years of experience in an Industrial Nursing capacity in a manufacturing facility or urgent care facility preferred.


* Knowledge of worker’s compensation statutes for the state of South Carolina.


* Experience using electronic medical record.


* Excellent communication skills.


* Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.

 Sponsorship will not be provided.

PHYSICAL DEMAND:


* While performing, duties may be required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, bend, twist or lift.


* May be required to work more than 8 hours in a day or 40 hours in a week based on departmental needs.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:


* Office and manufacturing environment.


* May be exposed to manufacturing plant conditions and elements including but not limited to noise, dust, dirt, oil, and grease.


* PPE’s may be required including safety glasses, ear plugs and safety shoes in specified areas of the plant.
