Asset Management - Business Manager, Retirement , Senior Associate

As an Associate Business Manager in the Retirement business within Asset Management, you will partner with senior leaders to drive strategic initiatives and deliver value-added analysis.

Your role will focus on increasing sales productivity and profitability, ensuring successful implementation of new initiatives.

The role will be based in New York and be a member of the Asset Management Americas Client & Global Insurance F&BM team reporting to the CFO & Head of F&BM for the Americas Client & GIS businesses, with additional accountability to the Head of the AM Retirement business.

Job Responsibilities:


* Provide support, unbiased advice, analysis and actionable recommendations to Head of AM Retirement as well as various other senior leaders


* End to end ownership and management of business priority projects


* Partner with other business-aligned functional areas (Client Service, Marketing, Legal, Risk & Controls, HR, Compliance, Technology and Operations) with respect to change management initiatives


* Collaborate with F&BM counterparts in other distribution channels on various projects


* Identify internal control issues or inefficiencies and own solutions (business process reengineering, technology enhancements, control environment), including ownership of internal audit requests and the annual RCSA (Risk Control Self-Assessment) process


* Handle ad-hoc client issue escalations


* Prepare senior management for internal and external meetings

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:


* 4+ years' experience in the financial services industry, with exposure to Asset Management


* Excellent presentation and communication skills: delivering messages clearly and succinctly with tailored approach depending on target audience


* Ability to build strong working relationships and influence a wide range of stakeholders, including executive management


* Strong project management skills, with emphasis on controls and focus on process improvement


* Excellent analytical skills


* Pro-active and problem solving mindset with ability to identify, clearly present and implement solutions
