Food & Beverage Manager - InterContinental Hayman Great Barrier Reef

About the Role

As Food and Beverage Manager, you will support the Director of the Food and Beverage operations within the resort.

Your role involves assisting in driving the performance and efficiency of various outlets, kitchens, and event venues, while contributing to the development of team members and maintaining a high standard of guest service.

You will collaborate closely with the Director of Food and Beverage to enhance brand standards, improve financial outcomes, and ensure a seamless guest experience.

Additionally, you will work to ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations while helping to reinforce the resort’s image and presence within the local community.
Your Day to Day

In this role, you will support a diverse team across multiple food and beverage outlets and facilities.

Working under the guidance of the Director of Food and Beverage, you will assist in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional service standards, and optimizing operational efficiencies.

Your responsibilities will include helping to implement training programs, monitoring staff performance, and contributing to staff development initiatives.

You will also assist in maintaining high levels of guest satisfaction through proactive service and consistent brand messaging.

Additionally, you will play a role in assisting with financial processes such as budget tracking, inventory management, and cost control measures to maximize revenue and minimize waste.

You will collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth communication and coordination, addressing any operational challenges that may arise.

As part of your duties, you will also support the planning and execution of promotional activities, events, and community engagement efforts to enhance brand awareness and drive business growth.
What We Need from You

A Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field, with at least 2-4 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial position within the food and beverage industry.
A strong understanding of food and beverage operations, along with the ability to manage a team, oversee day-to-day activities, and drive excellent guest service standards.
Must be fluent in the local language.
Must possess relevant certifications or permits as required by local regulations.
