Permanent - Events Executive

Responsibilities

Execution of Events


* Assist the Event manager in the update and implementation of the Event agenda.


* Deliver events on time and within budget, set by the Event Manager at the beginning of each project and continuously keep it up to date.


* Ensures all events support departmental and business objectives and that they are compliant with brand guidelines, internal policies, agreed standards, legislation, and regulation.


* Maintain and follow up with the suppliers for the execution of each project.


* Support sourcing appropriate suppliers and negotiating costs for specific projects.


* Deliver clear brief to suppliers and supervise their activity to drive results.


* Responsible for all types of Events, including in storemétier animations and outside exhibitions.


* Proactively find solutions to issues arising during the event planning and live phases.


* Travel on site to inspect ongoing arrangements, preparations, and changes needed to meet the needs of Hermes.


* Work closely with the finance and logistic departments on all matters related to Events.


* Coordinate transversal actions with the commercial and retail departments, when needed.


* Effectively collaborate with other communication departments (Press, Media, Client Communication) to ensure all teams are updated on the plans and support each other to deliver the best results.


* Exchange directly with Paris HQ regarding operational matters, building a solid relationship.

Customer / Supplier relations


* Build relationships with relevant external partners to create and optimise events opportunities.


* Ensure that customers or event attendees are totally satisfied.


* Develop and maintain a good understanding of the region and our competitors.


* Stay informed and curios about the region's trends, locations and creative scene in order to support in adapting the international events proposed by HQ.

Reporting


* Supports the Event Manager as required with reporting on external events budget and activities.


* Report on event ROI and feedback after completion.

Measures of success


* Effective, timely and professional communication with all the partners, suppliers, other departments, and team members.


* Delivery of end to end' event management (including from production to services) to the highest standards and in line with the Hermes/ Al Mana Retail values.


* Gathering qualitative and quantitative feedback after each event.


* Positive internal and external stakeholder's feedback.

Experience


* Bachelor's degree or equivalent.


* Previous experience in planning and executing event, ideally within a globally recognised brand.


* Knowledge about best practice in events planning and marketing.


* Experience of internal and external stakeholder management.


* Able to work independently and as part of a team.


* Effective negotiation skills.
