Shipping Coordinator

Our INVISTA Victoria, TX facility is seeking a Shipping Coordinator.

The role of Shipping Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the entire shipping process, including coordinating the movement of goods from a warehouse to customers, managing shipping documents, tracking shipments, communicating with carriers, and ensuring timely and accurate deliveries, while maintaining customer satisfaction and optimizing shipping costs.

What You Will Do


* Order processing: Reviewing customer requests, vendor communication, and generating shipping labels.


* Carrier selection: Choosing the most suitable shipping carrier based on cost, delivery time, and destination.


* Shipment tracking: Monitoring shipment progress through various logistics systems, identifying potential delays, and notifying customers of updates.


* Documentation management: Preparing shipping documents such as packing slips, invoices, and customs forms.


* Cost optimization: Understanding shipping rates with carriers and exploring cost-saving measures.


* Compliance management: Ensuring adherence to shipping regulations, including hazardous materials handling and export controls.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)


* Understanding of shipping processes, carrier options, and international trade regulations.


* Expertise in warehouse management systems, transportation management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.


* Excellent verbal and written communication to interact with customers, carriers, and internal teams.


* Identifying and resolving shipping issues efficiently.


* Ensuring accuracy in shipping documents and order processing.


* Managing multiple shipments simultaneously and prioritizing tasks effectively.


* Forklift capability and ability to manage up to 50 lbs.

What Will Put You Ahead


* Experience with air shipments and IATA requirements.


* Experience with SAP.


* Experience in the petrochemical industry.
