Manager, Communications
Primary Responsibility :
The Manager, Communications - Americas will be responsible for creating and executing the internal and external communication strategy and roadmap for the Americas region in accordance with the business priorities, and in line with the global communications strategy.
This individual will report into the Sr Director of Communications & PR and will work with various stakeholders including executives to develop compelling communications across multiple channels and provide media relations and public relations support.
This role demands the capacity to handle multiple large projects simultaneously, coupled with a commitment to accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent organizational abilities.
Moreover, this individual should exhibit a proactive approach in taking charge of issues and ensuring their resolution through to completion.
What You'll Do :
• Drives Americold's communications initiatives in the Americas region.
* Builds roadmap, process, and content calendar for all Americas communications initiatives.
* Manages the strategy, production, content, and distribution for all Americas communications activities and content (internal communications, public relations, crisis communications, change management, and community relations), ensuring timely development, approvals, and execution for all.
* Supports the Americas leadership team in communications-related topics, including advising on content, timing, and frequency of information to be presented to appropriate audiences.
* Acts as a crisis communications coordinator at the Americas level.
* Collaborates with other regional communication leaders and Corporate Communications team to execute communications in support of global initiatives.
Applies global processes, channels, and tools and actively collaborates with global teams in developing new processes, channels, and tools.
* Plans and leads internal company sponsored events where needed.
* Implements metrics to measure effectiveness of communications in Americas region with the goal of continuously improving communications strategy to reach and engage audiences
* Write clearly and informatively, edit work for spelling and grammar, adapt writing style to meet need.
What Experience and Education You Need :
5+ years of experience in the design, development, and execution of internal communications programs, as well as design, development, and execution of organizational development initiatives.
* Bachelor's degree in communication, organizational readiness, business management, or related program
* Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), must be flexible and adaptable to change
* Experience communicating with a non-desk workforce (warehouse or factory), required
* Experience in strategic/change management communications, preferred
