Banquet Manager - Paschal's Restaurant
Purpose of Position:
The Banquet Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of food and event logistics for three properties including: LOFT at Castleberry Hill, Paschal’s Restaurant and Clarion Inn & Suites Hotel.
Oversee service operations to ensure guests have the ultimate experience, enabling the campus/venues/properties to meet/exceed financial goals.
Conducts site visits, assist with telephone calls, and responds to customer inquiries as needed.
Ensures that the venues and the property surrounding the venues are clean and presentable.
Key Responsibilities:
1.
Manage the day-to-day event facility operations in accordance to scheduled events.
2.
Assist Sales Manager with site visits, walk-ins, telephone inquiries, and event payments, if needed.
3.
Review Banquet Event Orders to ensure event details, staffing and menus are clearly communicated and orchestrated to exceed client expectations.
4.
Ensures the venue and property surrounding the venue is clean and presentable to include: Parking Lot, Garbage area, Patio, and Sidewalks.
Report all projects to maintenance.
5.
Provide a venue checklist weekly and venue improvement summary monthly to Sales Manager.
6.
Closes facility on day of events, secures facility, oversees vendor load in/out, and coordinates all day of event logistics.
Leads event manager and contact person for all scheduled events.
7.
Performs cash handling duties at the close of scheduled event and reports all cash transactions in writing to Sales Manager.
Reports all cash discrepancies to Sales Manager, regarding employees or accounting system.
8.
Schedules and oversees employees: Utility, Bartenders, and Temporary Staff.
9.
Conducts monthly inventory of all LOFT equipment and housewares.
Conduct weekly inventory of liquor and supplies.
10.
Serves as point person for Hotsauce, IT systems, Shumate, EcoLab, Housekeeping, and all other service and equipment vendors for LOFT.
Troubleshoots all issues with equipment and reports to Sales Manager items that need immediate attention.
Ensures all vendors are providing the best service possible to the venue.
11.
Performs other administrative duties deemed necessary.

Education/ Previous Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or equivalent work experience with an event venue.
Experience in venue management, a customer focused environment, or event industry is preferred

Ability to multi-task while maintaining an upbeat professional demeanor
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Must be able to handle tasks with minimal supervision
