Sales Training Manager
Overall Role Purpose
The Sales Training Manager trains all Sales staff to improve their selling skills, knowledge and attributes to drive behavioral change and maximize sales success.
Job Responsibilities
Country Commercial Function
* Plan & implement learning journey for new hires, training calendar for Sales community and the necessary training administration (e.g.
logistics setup, maintenance of training records etc).
* Facilitate frontline sales training courses from CIS Sales to ensure readiness and emphasize selling value over product/ price.
* Provide coaching expertise to the SG Commercial Management team through coaching observations, joint calls & visits for the purpose of people development, improving productivity and employee motivation/satisfaction as part of the Commercial Team’s commitment to Sales Excellence.
* Conduct skills gap analysis, coaching audits and assist in call script development for all Sales Channels to help improve Customer Experience.
* Assume the role of admin for various sales training and coaching tools e.g.
Centrical and GSIP+.
* Support the CPR team on complementary tasks and responsibilities deemed necessary by Director, Commercial Planning & Research.
Asia Pacific Regional Office Training Group
* Collaborate with regional Sales Training team to assist or conduct Sales Training related activities/projects.
HR Department/ Certified International Specialist Manager
* Attend meetings & reviews, manage training activities within allocated CIS training budget.
* Collaborate with CIS Manager to implement global/regional CIS training modules for the Commercial team in Singapore.
Benchmarking Organisations, Consultants
* Manage external consultants for the customisation/ development of programmes which specifically meet sales training needs: research, programme design, testing/validation of programmes before implementation.
Global Sales Process
* Develop an intimate understanding of the business processes and deliverables of the various Sales Segments, so as to provide relevant coaching advice to Sales Reps & Managers.
* Participate proactively to improve adoption of Sales Process.
Training Systems Management
* Develop a consistent approach to sales learning that is effective and ‘accelerated learning’ based, through the adoption of learning technologies and synergy with local and Global Sales Process
* Ensure that:
+ training schedules are observed
+ training logs are maintained
+ training logs are forwarded to HR
+ training utilization and summary are forwarded to HR
* This role has no direct report and authority over country line and functional personnel.
Nevertheless he/she must be able to demonstrate ability to influence decisions/actions.
Job Requirements:
* At least 5 years of sales experience in a logistics industry, with at least 2 years of coaching/ mentoring/ training capacity
* Experience in leading the development and delivery of learning solutions in a service or sales environment is an added advantage.
* Strong interpersonal skills and confidence in delivery to all levels of stakeholders.
* Experience with sales processes and systems will be preferred.
* Excellent Presentation, Facilitation and Training skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office
* Degree in Business (or related discipline) will be an advantage.
