Principal Mechanical Engineer - Solar + Storage
For this U.S.
based position, the expected compensation range is $164,000 - $246,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.
The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States.
Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level.
Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

We are hiring aPrincipal Mechanical Product Design Engineerwith a strong background inElectromechanical Product Designto join the Schneider Electric Prosumer NAM Hub Team.
What will you do?
* Spearhead product design throughout the engineering process; leading from concept to mass production within a collaborative global R&D team
* Design and analysis of mechanical components and assemblies including plastics, sheet metal, die castings, insulation systems, heatsinks, busbars, harnesses, and more
* Solve electronics packaging issues such as dense product layout, insulation, structure & mounting, thermals, ingress protection, interconnections, etc.
* Optimize mechanical designs for size, weight, durability, performance and cost
* Incorporate mechanical designs with high-voltage electrical systems, power electronics, and batteries in a diverse collaborative environment.
* Conduct trade-off studies between performance, mass, volume, cost, manufacturability, reliability, and environmental factors
* Generate and refine mechanical designs and drawings in PTC Creo/PDM/Ansys
