Vulnerability Remediation Specialist

SUMMARY
The Vulnerability Remediation Specialist plays a critical role in safeguarding the organization's IT infrastructure by reviewing identified vulnerabilities, assessing, and remediating the vulnerabilities.
This role primarily focuses on Windows 10 and 11 devices, but could also include Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019, and 2022.
The specialist will develop and implement remediation plans, track progress, and create detailed reports using Excel or other solutions.
Strong communication skills are essential for writing end-user communications and presenting action plans during change control meetings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Review identified vulnerabilities and determine the necessary steps for remediation.
* Create and implement remediation plans.
* Deploy patches and software using enterprise patch management and software distribution tools to ensure systems are up-to-date and secure.
* Create, track, and manage tickets in the organization's ticketing system to ensure timely remediation of vulnerabilities
* Communicate with required teams or individuals to ensure vulnerabilities are addressed.
* Remediate vulnerabilities on Windows 10 and 11 devices, as well as Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019, and 2022.
* Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
* Track status and create reports using Excel or other solutions.
* Write communications to end users and share action plans during change control for approval.
* Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices to recommend system improvements.
* Identify and implement process automation opportunities to enhance efficiency.
* Provide technical support and assistance to end-users for hardware and software-related issues.
* Document and propose security measures to protect data and systems from potential threats.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT-related projects and initiatives.
* Create and maintain system documentation, including configurations and procedures.
* Actively promotes GUEST customer service standards; develops effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
* Participates in team concepts and promote a team effort; performs duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.
* Regular and reliable attendance is required for the job.
