AWS DevOps Engineer
Description & Requirements
We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to maintain development and platform pipelines and tools for a Federal critical infrastructure agency.
They will maintain multiple AWS instances and environments as well as integrate new AWS capabilities with enterprise tools to provide efficient and readily consumable development and operations capabilities.
They will deliver accessible, elastic environmental information for the agency and American public, as well as integrate with adjacent program offices to integrate and maintain capabilities in the AWS commercial cloud tenant.
Major responsibilities include:
* Developing and executing a Development Operations (DevOps) strategy to ensure quality software deployments and overall application health and performance.
* Optimize relationships between the development, quality assurance and IT operations teams.
* Promote communication, integration, and collaboration for enhanced software development productivity.
* Develop infrastructure to incorporate latest technology best practices and improve operational performance.
* Requires broad technical knowledge and experience across a variety of IT areas, including infrastructure, development, operations, and quality assurance.
* Interface with technical team members, adjacent program offices, adjacent contractors, and external stakeholders

Minimum/Basic Requirements:
* US Citizenship Required
* Ability to obtain US Public Trust Security Clearance
* University degree (BS) in a closely related field (Information Technology, Business Administration)
* 5+ years demonstrated as a DevOps engineer, platform engineer, or closely related field
* Required Certifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or a closely related certification.
Preferred Key Skills and Abilities:
* Experience with EPA Program offices, development methodologies, and product lifecycles
