Senior Hadoop Engineer
Description & Requirements
We are looking for an experienced Hadoop Engineer to build a cutting-edge data and analytics platform with Big Data and Analytics capabilities for a Federal critical infrastructure agency.
They will implement Hadoop to enable integration of cutting-edge technologies (like Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning models) and facilitate surging data requirements across the program.
They will deliver accessible, elastic environmental information for the agency and American public, as well as integrate with adjacent data and analytics platforms to provide an enterprise-wide view of environmental and compliance data.

Major responsibilities include:
* Design, model, or implement Big Data structures and capabilities, like Hadoop.
* Integrate big data and analytics capabilities to ingest and sustain surging data requirements
* Leverage open standards and best practice data models to minimize complexity and enable data integration with adjacent programs.
* Effectively collaborate with business and technical agency staff to develop data vision, features, and release cycles.
* Interface with technical team members, adjacent program offices, adjacent contractors, and external stakeholders
Minimum Education requirement:
University degree (BS) in a closely related field (Information Technology, Business Administration)
Years of Required Work-Related Experience:
5+ years demonstrated experience creating and sustaining Big Data and analytics platforms.
Required Certifications:
IBM Hadoop certification, or closely related
Minimum Requirements
TCS195, T3, Band 6
• Experience with EPA Program offices, development methodologies, and product lifecycles
