Mid Level Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

IntelliSource is searching for a mid-level Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in mechanical design and proficiency in SolidWorks.

The successful candidate will join our partner's dynamic team in Midland, NC, and take a leading role in both mechanical design and research and development projects.

Key Responsibilities:



* Lead the development and design of mechanical components and systems using SolidWorks.


* Oversee the creation of detailed 3D models and technical drawings for manufacturing and assembly.


* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility and functionality, serving as a key technical liaison.


* Drive research and development initiatives, designing solutions for complex issues encountered in our machines.


* Lead brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas to improve existing products and develop new ones.


* Perform advanced simulations and analysis to validate design concepts and optimize performance.


* Manage prototyping, testing, and refining designs based on test results and feedback.


* Prepare and review technical documentation, including design specifications, reports, and user manuals.


* Mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and resolving design-related issues.

Qualifications:



* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.


* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design engineering.


* Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling and technical drawing creation.


* Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.


* Demonstrated experience with simulation and analysis tools (e.g., FEA, CFD).


* Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to resolve complex engineering challenges.


* Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead projects and collaborate effectively in a team environment.


* Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.


* Experience in mentoring or supervising junior engineers is preferred.

* Experience in a mechanical engineering role within the sustainability or environmental sector.


* Proven track record in leading research and development projects.


* Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in mechanical design.


* Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
