WHAT YOU'LL DO:
As our General Maintenance, Facilities, and Control Room Lead, you will support our general maintenance and facilities team with your wide range of experience in general maintenance, production equipment repair, HVAC, alarm systems, dispatch, plumbing, water system controls, and overall facilities repair is critical, combined with the ability to pay close attention to detail and maintain compliance for our facilities maintenance logs and repair records.
This role is critical in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and smooth operation of equipment and systems while following established protocols and procedures for preventative and actionable maintenance.
The ideal candidate will have a strong skillset in multitasking, attention to detail, management of others, and the ability to react swiftly and efficiently to emergent situations, which will be essential in this role.
Essential Duties:
* Operate and monitor SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) including life support systems.
* Lead a team of up to 8 technicians, providing guidance, support and training as needed.
* Supervise HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems, ensuring proper functioning and maintenance.
* Oversee water systems (DI, RO, and Industrial) and supplies, including boilers, monitoring and maintenance.
* Manage electrical supplies and distribution, from yard to room distribution, ensuring efficient and safe operations.
* Supervise chemical supply and refining processes, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
* Manage air-making and supply systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
* Oversee wastewater treatment processes, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
* Respond to site emergencies, coordinating with relevant teams and authorities including local authorities for safe building access.
* Communicate effectively with customers and management, providing updates and addressing concerns.
* Provide and compile Daily Shift reports on site issues for the shift.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:
* To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees, wearing PPE is a possibility and may include equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, bump cap, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator.
