Overview

Assist in the design, implementation, and modification of the shop layout and work holding fixture models.

Key Responsibilities

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:


* Applies knowledge of engineering principles to design software applications.


* Applies creative problem-solving skills.


* Enjoys working with operations and engineers to create innovative solutions.


* 2D layouts and 3D modeling.


* Estimates durations for project development and meets deadlines.


* Frequent contact with internal customers.


* Reports to Manufacturing Engineering Manager or Supervisor.

Experience


* Course work in Mechanical Engineering or related field and 1 to 3 years of work experience.


* Has a working knowledge of SolidWorks and DraftSight.


* Experience with drawing specifications.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities


* Familiarity with 2D layouts and 3D modeling.


* Desire to learn scanning technology.


* Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
