IT Platform Engineer

Maximus is seeking a skilled IT Platform Engineer to join our Technology Consulting Services team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing IT platforms that support our business operations.

This role ensures the reliability, scalability, and performance of critical systems, contributing to the company's success in delivering innovative solutions.

Project Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Platform Management:

- Design, deploy, and maintain IT platforms across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.

- Ensure platform reliability, scalability, and performance through continuous monitoring and optimization.

System Integration:

-Integrate various IT systems and platforms to create a seamless operational environment.

-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compatibility and efficiency of solutions.

Infrastructure Support:

-Manage virtualization environments, including provisioning and maintaining virtual machines.

- Oversee configuration and management of servers, storage, and network resources.

Automation and Optimization:

- Develop and implement automation scripts and tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual tasks.

- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance platform capabilities.

Security and Compliance:

- Implement and maintain security measures to protect systems from vulnerabilities and threats.

- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

Troubleshooting and Support:

- Diagnose and resolve platform-related issues promptly.

- Provide technical expertise and support to internal stakeholders as needed.

Minimum Requirements

TCS219, T3, Band 6

Project Specific Requirements:

- Active Secret clearance

- 15+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and platform management, education can be considered as additional years of experience.

- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).

- Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Ansible).

- In-depth knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and network protocols.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is a plus.

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
