Senior Director, Transceiver Engineering - Optical Solutions

Molex is seeking a highly experienced leader to join our Optical Systems Business Unit (OSBU).

This is a Senior Director level position, reporting to the Vice President of Engineering.

In this role the successful candidate will be part of a world-class engineering team and is expected to significantly contribute to the development of the next generation coherent and PAM4 optical transceivers.

This role requires an experienced leader with a strong background in the technical and operations aspects of optical transceiver development and manufacturing.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the flawless production launch of new transceiver products.

Some travel is expected in this role.

What You Will Do


* Transfer and ramp of new transceiver products while attaining key program metrics such as schedule, quality and cost.


* Yield improvement, cycle time reduction, and capacity planning.


* Product cost and cost reduction plans.


* Qualification of alternate sources.


* Develop an agile and quality focused engineering team.


* Advance our company culture.


* Provide updates for executive management, stakeholders and customers.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)


* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Optoelectronics, or a related field.


* A minimum of 10 years of engineering experience in the optoelectronics industry, with at least five years in a leadership role focused on transceiver development or manufacturing.


* Deep knowledge of optical transceivers, manufacturing processes, and automation technologies.

Proven experience with NPI processes and methodologies.


* Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse engineering team.


* Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.


* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to various audiences.


* Proven track record of managing complex engineering projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management

For this role, we anticipate paying $210,000 - $250,000 per year.

This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
