What You Will Do – Primary Responsibilities


* Assist with complex data center engineering projects requiring 100% attention to detail.


* Assist with the preparation of electrical/mechanical specifications and design criteria for data center projects.


* Provide expert level input on future data center and MEC (mobile edge data center) designs and retrofits.


* Review and update data center existing and MEC electrical documentation as expansions occur.


* Review electrical mission critical system changes with Data center engineering team.


* Provide and analyze energy efficient solutions to minimize power losses and improve efficiencies.


* Develop innovative, cost effective and efficiency improvements as needed.


* Generate RFPs, ROMs, and SOWs for multiple types of data center projects.


* Develop comprehensive project plans and provide updates on progress, risks, and schedule.


* Travel to data center sites to lead or support engineering changes, modifications, electrical system audits, startup testing, and commissioning when necessary.


* Provide, review, track electrical capacity at various distribution levels from utility to end user.


* Coordinate the Design Process, manage budget reviews and support construction efforts for new projects and existing site expansions, while collaborating with contractors and internal teams


* Review and approve as-builts and submissions.


* Ensure compliance with codes and data center standards, develop infrastructure improvements, and serve as an expert in the field of electrical engineering.


* Participate in root cause analysis and create and develop corrective actions.


* Participate in M&A studies and projects when required.


* Justify and communicate technical decisions to senior management.
