We're seeking a Desktop Engineer to join our team at Alta Equipment Group, a leader in the material handling and construction equipment industries.
As a Desktop Engineer at Alta, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our ability to provide exceptional support to our user base and develop our IT infrastructure.
You will be responsible for connecting applications using APIs, deploying apps in Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune), creating proactive remediations, leveraging Power Automate, conducting root cause analysis, building sophisticated automations to streamline processes, and managing endpoint patch management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Connect various applications using APIs to facilitate seamless data exchange and integration.
• Manage app deployments using Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune), ensuring efficient and secure delivery of applications to end-users.
• Develop and implement proactive remediations in Microsoft Intune to address potential issues before they impact business operations.
• Utilize Power Automate to create workflows that improve efficiency and automate repetitive tasks.
• Perform detailed root cause analysis to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Document processes within IT knowledge base system.
• Design and build automations to optimize IT processes and enhance system functionality.
• Oversee and manage endpoint patch management processes to ensure all devices are up-to-date with the latest security patches and updates.
• Monitor and report on patch deployment status and address any issues that arise during the patching process.
• Collaborate with IT security teams to identify and remediate vulnerabilities through timely patching.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure patch management processes are effective and aligned with industry best practices.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in IT support or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of API integration and management.
• Proficient in deploying and managing applications using Microsoft Intune.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Automate and building custom automations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to perform root cause analysis.
