Your Job

Georgia-Pacific is looking for safety-orientated individuals to join our team as Forklift Operators in Plattsburgh, NY.

This is an entry level position with opportunities for growth and we are interested in learning more about you! Our Forklift Operators work 12 hour rotating shifts to include weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed in a loud/noisy, hot, humid, dusty, greasy, non-climate controlled, high volume industrial environment.

The starting pay for this position is $24.60.

In addition to a $1000 sign-on bonus, we offer competitive benefits, and a 401k.

What You Will Do



* Operating mobile equipment, machine controls, touchscreens, and switches


* Adhere to forklift inspection and washout processes


* Use of trailer stands; GLAD hand locks; dock leveler and dock lock systems


* Offload vital supplies (i.e., pallets, KDF, core board, glue poly and other vital supplies


* Load totes, rejected cores, pallets, corrugated bales & KDF for recycling

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)



* Minimum of 6 months forklift experience


* High school Education or GED

What Will Put You Ahead



* Experience operating a motorized forklift, clamp truck or industrial equipment


* Experience working with automated or robotic equipment and machine


* Experience troubleshooting equipment


* Experience working with construction materials i.e.

lumber, gypsum, plaster, brick, insulation, etc


* Experience of Microsoft Office systems and SAP
