R&D Engineer

Your Job

Koch-Glitsch, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, is looking to add a R&D Engineer to our dynamic team.

This role is based in Wichita, KS.

Koch-Glitsch is a global leader in developing, engineering, designing, and manufacturing a complete line of mass transfer, phase separation technology equipment and associated services.

We support the chemical, petrochemical, refining, and gas processing industries.

What You Will Do

• Manage and execute R&D projects by coordinating with cross-functional team and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.

• Plan and allocate project and resource needs to effectively support project timelines and deliverables.

• Develop and fabricate innovative mass transfer equipment

• Oversee the design and installation of equipment.

• Collect, validate, and interpret experimental data to drive insights and support decision-making processes.

• Write comprehensive reports summarizing data.

• Develop hydraulic and mass transfer models that support the advancement of our technological capabilities.

• Oversee the implementation of new models.

• Present project progress and outcomes to stakeholders.

• Scan the public domain for promising technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage.

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements (Basic Qualifications):

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering

• Experience in an R&D environment with distillation/absorption/stripping process technology and equipment

What Will Put You Ahead

• Advanced degree in Chemical Engineering

• Specialization in thermal separation process technology and equipment

• Experience in an R&D environment

• Experience commercializing a technology

• Experience with distillation and other mass transfer technologies

• Experience in a collaborative environment

• Project Management experience

Physical Requirements:

• Willing and able to climb ladders, carry up to 50 pounds, and entering confined spaces

• Willing and able to pass a pre-employment physical test.
