Employee Relations Representative
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Employee Relations Representative is a part of the Employee Relations team within North America Human Resources.
This position is responsible for administering the pre-employment background screening process, handling medical accommodation escalations and responding to HR Policy questions with an emphasis on time off policies.
Further, this position will perform various Employee Relations functions and help the Employee Relations Specialists with Employee Relations cases and employee investigations.
This role can sit in any of our Chubb office locations in the US.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Review background screening results and resolve discrepancies in accordance with the defined.
procedures.
Respond to questions regarding the background screening requirements and proper.
documentation.
Entails interacting with applicants, a third-party vendor, and members of the HR team.
* Tracking and resolving escalations from the Leave Management Vendor regarding medical accommodations or other employment related issues.
* Monitor the Employee Relations mailbox and provide responses to employee policy questions from HR.
managers, managers and employees or direct emails to the appropriate ER specialist for response.
* Guide HR and managers on navigating The Village for relevant resources.
* Submit monthly New Hire Reports in compliance with various state requirements.
* Process Arbitration paperwork timely and with consistency.
* Manages the Employee Relation Team's content on the Chubb Intranet and within MS Teams/OneDrive.
* Assists Senior ER Specialists with performance/attendance related cases.
* Assists manager with implementation of HR policy related to crisis management and business continuity for Pandemic and other events.
* Run and analyze ER reports for Chubb and specific business units.
* Assist with various projects including HR audits (e.g., I9, compensation).
