Ben Bridge Jeweler's corporate office in Downtown Seattle is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our team.
Job Summary:
The HR Generalist supports the People Services department by assisting with daily HR operations. This role oversees the benefits programs. The HR Generalist will collaborate with the Senior HR Manager to ensure smooth HR processes and support the organization’s strategic goals.
Primary Duties and Resposibilites:
* Employee Relations - Address employee complaints/concerns, conduct investigations, and implement disciplinary actions when necessary.
* Communicate HR policies and procedures to employees and provide guidance on employment-related issues.
* Benefits Administration - Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
Assist employees with benefits-related inquiries and issues.
Owns benefits open enrollment activities.
Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information. Performs regular audits of benefits-related data.
* Leave Administration - Oversees leaves processes, including FMLA, and other types of leave.
Ensure accurate tracking and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Communicates associates on leave to Payroll on bi-weekly basis.
* Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
* Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
* Administers Workers Compensation program adhering with OSHA requirements. Participates as a supporting member of the Safety Committee.
* Prepare comprehensive HR reports and conduct data analysis to inform decision-making.
* Creates and publishes company newsletter. Gathers input for articles from others in the organization.
* Manages Service and Sales Achievement recognition programs. Calculates eligibility for awards. Coordinate events and initiatives to celebrate achievements.
* Serve as a backup for payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate payroll administration in the absence of the primary payroll manager.
