UPS Field Service Representative

Schneider Electric has a great opportunity for the right person to join our team as a Field Service representative (FSR).
Purpose of Job:
To perform, installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair services for Schneider Electric's complete range of Secure Power product lines, which includes but is not limited to UPS, STS, PDU, Battery solutions, Digital and Environmental monitoring systems, the candidate will be expected to be familiar with all aspects of the Power systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding Customer service.
- Installation: Typically, this will be overseeing a team of subcontractors and ensuring their work is compatible with Schneider Electric's specification.
There will be occasions when the candidate will be expected to perform an installation service.
- Commissioning: The candidate must be prepared to commission a complete system.
- Maintenance / Repair: The candidate will be expected to complete planned and unscheduled maintenance on the Schneider Electric product range.
- Always seek business opportunities to promote the business growth.
- Advise customers on best practice, new services, and upgrade opportunities.
- 24x7 on Call: The candidate will need to be prepared to attend customer sites at short notice to perform diagnosis and repairs when they have completed training as part of on call rota.
The candidate will be part of a team reporting to the Secure Power Team Leader and will be required to travel to the customer site to perform their tasks, the applicant must be willing to travel and stay away from home from time to time - depending on the location and duration of works.
As the Schneider Electric installed base will need to be supported countrywide.
The candidate must have good communication skills as they will be interacting with a wide range of people.
Skills Required:
* Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, etc.
* Verifiable hands-on technical work experience required.
* You must have an Electrical/Electronic Engineering Diploma/Degree.
* Product specific training will be provided at Schneider Electric's training centres in France; the candidate must be able and willing to travel to these locations.
* Experience of Schneider Electric products advantageous.
* Relevant experience working in an electrical environment would advantageous.
* Must be able to perform duties receiving only general guidance with respect to overall objectives.
* Must comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures
* Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
* Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time
* Must be able to communicate (speak and hear) effectively to various intellectual levels.
