Business Product Owner

As a team member, work in close partnership with business stakeholders to ensure solutions delivered by the IT development teams solve the business and/or market needs being requested.

This position reports into Senior Product Owner and is based at Paranaque, Philippines

What You Will Do

Key Responsibilities:


* Perform discovery of business needs, document functional requirements


* Act as a trusted, strategic advisor to Process Owners and Service Delivery Leads to demonstrate a keen understanding of their business needs and how the product can address them


* Own the vision for the product area and constantly maintain and iterate the product roadmap, ensuring visibility, alignment and buy-in from stakeholders


* Oversee the entry of business needs into the Demand Management Intake platform


* Create and manage user stories for ServiceNow platform, focusing on Procurement Case Management, Supplier Portal and Guided Buying, which includes but is not limited to:



* User story grooming with functionally specific project teams


* Update user stories until they are in Definition of Ready (DoR)


* Define user acceptance criteria in review with functional project teams

JIRA Project Backlog Administration

Provide consultation on requirements to Service and Process Owners

Oversee the prioritization of requests in the backlog; coordinating with BA's, Development teams and the department head

Review and approve documentation of work product, user stories, backlog prioritization

Communication to all project stakeholders with updates & status of pending & in-progress requests

Assist the Test Lead in the development of a test plan and confirming resource requirements

Create and track appropriate metrics to meeting SLAs

Recommend improvements in ways-of-working to ensure quality of output, customer satisfaction, user adoption and enable agility to respond to changing business needs
