2025 Summer Internship Program
The Office of General Counsel Litigation department represents FINRA in state and federal court and provide legal advice to FINRA business units to protect and advance FINRA's effectiveness in achieving its mission of investor protection and market integrity.
Essential Job Functions:
* Conduct legal research and legal writing assignments to assist in providing legal advice to FINRA management and departments.
* Assist in drafting motions and other court filings and summarize court hearings.
* Attend internal litigation strategy discussions.
Education/Experience Requirements:
* The ideal candidate is pursuing a J.D; candidates entering their second or third year of law school in August 2025
* Work experience in a financial, brokerage or investment environment is a plus but is not necessary.
* Strong work ethic, positive attitude and professional demeanor.
* Effective communication, time management, and organizational skills.
* Ability to work with others to meet deadlines.
* Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently and accurately.
Working Conditions:
* Work is normally performed in an office environment.

In addition to location, actual compensation is based on various factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s skill set, level of experience, education, and internal peer compensation comparisons.
