Are you an independent and highly motivated scientist experienced with protein purification, quality control assays and managing an inventory? If so, then we are actively recruiting a talented individual to support us in these three areas.
We are a critical cog in Therapeutics Discovery, responsible for the expression and purification of next-generation large molecule biologics and support a robust and active portfolio.
As such, beyond the importance of generating and managing recombinant proteins; your success will entail structured, communicative and collaborative behaviors.

Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the Associate Scientist with the Lead Antibody Production team are to purify recombinant proteins, ensure their quality and manage their inventory in support of our drug discovery portfolio.
The role is highly visible and will involve hands-on laboratory work and communication with the functional teams.
Additionally, identifying areas of opportunity to streamline process is a critical task.
Pursuant to these, the Associate Scientist will:
* Run protein purification workflows including operating Akta FPLC systems
* Perform protein characterization assays such as A280, SDS-PAGE, HPLC, mass spectrometry, and endotoxin testing to evaluate the quality of samples
* Consistently align protein QC and release priorities with collaborator needs, timeline, and scientific strategy
* Orchestrate inventory management for multiple projects independently in concert with upstream and downstream teams with a focus on maintaining accurate and complete sample information for all molecules
* Communicate regularly, transparently, and accurately within the department and to other collaborators as a key point of contact
* Employ new workflow analytics and tools including automation to continually identify innovative chances for process improvement that would permit efficiency and acceleration
* Able to manage time and elevate relevant issues to team members and group leadership
Education:
