Procurement is key enabler in driving and supporting Johnson & Johnson's growth.

As part of the Procurement organization's Chemicals Category, the Manager is responsible for driving and/or supporting all aspects of spend performance such as reliability, innovation, costs, supply network readiness, and corporate citizenship goals.

They will also collaborate with the wider procurement and supply chain community.

The Manager will support the J&J Innovative Medicine division and will report to Senior Manager, Chemicals Category who is based in Latina, Italy.

Incumbent in the role will be primarily responsible for category management activities for defined sub-category spend.

Key Responsibilities:

Sourcing


* Lead or support sourcing initiatives to identify the right supplier partners and build adequate material capacities to support business


* Develop spend analysis and gather market intelligence in alignment with business goals


* Influence business decision making to deliver ongoing value improvements and drive competitive advantage

Category Strategy Development


* Develop / Support category sourcing strategy for defined spend portfolio through Business needs assessment, Market intelligence, Supplier evaluations and sourcing choices


* Maintaina deep understanding of the business needs and external market trends to support the development of robust sub- category strategies


* Proactively engage business partners and/or category managers to identify their needs and incorporate those needs into sub-category strategies


* Develop and drive robust implementation of strategy and communication plan with defined buying channels and contracting strategies


* Establish compliance reporting capabilities and supervise business compliance to strategies

Supplier Management


* Develop and lead supplier partnerships / external manufacturing partnerships to drive performance delivery, risk mitigation, and value through supplier enabled innovation
