As a Senior Lead Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the Infrastructure Platforms team, your role is pivotal in creating top-tier architecture solutions for a range of software applications and platform products.

Job responsibilities


* Perform investigation and analysis of the firm's most critical technology flows


* Research to find root causes for the most impactful technology production incidents


* Provides technical feedback and proposes improvements to critical architectures


* Guides evaluation of current technology and leads evaluation of new technologies using existing standards and frameworks


* Provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors


* Drives decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes


* Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus


* Contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firm wide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle


* Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies


* Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills


* Formal training or certification on architecture concepts and 5+ years applied experience


* Demonstrable influencing skills that can create a culture of change, excellence and innovation which constructively challenges the status quo and leads to prudent implementation


* Create effective partnerships, cooperating with clients, leaders across our business, and application architects to define technology and architecture roadmaps


* Possess and maintain a strong working knowledge of multi-platform technical environments.

Serve as a leader, consultant, mentor, or tutor in technical architecture areas of expertise to staff


* Have a broad and deep expertise in software and infrastructure architecture or equivalent amount of time in development with a minimum of five years focused on large system development and with a good understanding of infrastructure


* Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills, including ability to negotiate compromise and demonstrate diplomacy in sensitive situations as well as interact effectively with peers and management across diverse cultures and fast-paced environment
