Director of Safety, Enterprise

The Corporate Safety Director will embody a strong sense of responsibility, orchestrating the development and implementation of comprehensive company-wide initiatives, policies, third-party audits, data management, and standard processes to uphold the ongoing health and safety of Emerson's global workforce.
This role will act as a subject matter authority, partnering with Emerson's leadership to define and build our safety strategy and culture.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
* Drive a risk-based approach to identifying and mitigating risks to protect the safety and health of our employees and operations.
* Develop high-level safety program goals and execution strategies ensuring consensus and support from Emerson executive leadership
* Collaborate with business unit safety leaders to refine and implement company-wide safety policies, processes, and procedures employees.
* Lead and enrich the internal safety training curriculums and supervise end-user completion rates to support end-users in achieving performance goals and objectives.
* Coordinate company health and safety standards and policies based on industry regulations and requirements and promote a safety culture aligned to them
* Identify and implement efficient methods, processes, and strategies for health and safety standard methodology sharing across business units and world areas
* Plan, conduct, and lead third-party and intracompany risk assessment audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures.
* Maintain and analyze data to identify trends and recommendations for continuous safety improvement and regularly present and communicate these to collaborators across the organization
* Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
* Benchmark safety performance against industry standards and to drive program improvements.
* Serve as the primary contact for safety-related matters across the organization.
