T The Terminal Operator is responsible for the operation of a truck/railcar terminal facility including the monitoring and operation of plant equipment and systems.
Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Perform transfer operations during railcar loading, unloading, tank gauging, loading, and unloading trucks.
* Operate railcar moving equipment to stage railcars.
* Operate valves
* Adjust controls to operate equipment in the recommended or prescribed operating ranges.
* Visually inspect equipment and controls at periodic intervals to detect malfunctions or need for repair, adjustment, or lubrication.
* Monitor plant and pipeline operations and respond to emergency or upset conditions.
* Read, monitor, and record various operating conditions such as pressure, temperature, hours of operations, water levels, etc.
* Perform minor maintenance on equipment including, but not limited to: reciprocating propane/butane gas compressors, dehydrators, fluid separation equipment, valves, etc.
* Monitor, remove, and replace filters, oil, chemicals, other lubricating fluids, gaskets, and valves as needed.
* Maintain sites in a clean condition including picking up/taking out trash, control weeds and grassy areas, minor painting, etc.
* Operate under Process Safety Management (PSM) as required.
* Improve upon meeting the needs and demands of customers.
* Work within the guidelines and parameters as established by Company Safety Manual, operating procedures, and regulatory requirements.
* Handling of hazardous and highly volatile materials.
* Troubleshoot all plant equipment failures and act accordingly.
* Develop and complete reports related to the operation of the facility.
* Work a rotating 12-hour shift schedule.
The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
* High school diploma or G.E.D.
equivalent is required.
* Experience in refined products terminal or other petrochemical operations is preferred.
