Position: Certified Dietary Manager (CDM)

Are you looking to make a difference in the lives of others while being a part of a family-oriented team? The Certified Dietary Manager is responsible for the Food & Nutrition Services Department.

Job duties include managing the department by completing schedules, completing inventory and food orders, providing ongoing education, ensuring quality food preparation and service to all customers, while meeting budgetary guidelines, and assisting the Registered Dietitian with clinical duties.

Position Highlights:


* Plans, directs, and supervises all dietary functions and partners.


* Responsible for the preparation and service of nutritious meals for all customers, considering any special diet requirements and individual food preferences.

Responsible for obtaining menu approval if not a Registered Dietitian.


* Responsible for food and supply purchases and for maintaining cost records.

Responsible for meeting budget guidelines for food, supply, labor, and total budget and participates in budget planning.


* Responsible for equipment purchases, maintaining equipment records, notification to the maintenance department of equipment not operating properly, and in preparation of preventive maintenance sheets.
Interviews, hires, orients, trains, counsels, disciplines, and when appropriate, terminates dietary partners.
Schedules work hours and assignments, and reviews and checks work assignments.


* Fills shifts as necessary to ensure continuous dietary services.

Job Type: Full Time

Experience


* At least one year experience in administration will be helpful; however, it is not required.


* At least one year experience in clinical will be helpful; however, it is not required.


* May be required to have or obtain a Food Handlers Certificate or Sanitation Course, as required by state regulations.


* Required to be licensed and/or certified by specific state guidelines.
