Supervisor Day Services
The Supervisor Day Services is responsible for the day-to-day operations of an adult day program which provides services to adults with developmental disabilities.
Duties include managing program staff, ensuring activities meet the needs of individual participants and ensuring quality services, activities and outcomes.
RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL:
Implements and may provide input into strategic goals for Day Services program.
Oversees daily operations of team, ensuring work is performed as prescribed by policies and procedures to achieve productivity, service, and quality standards, and goals.
Has familiarity with Day Services budget and manages team spend to meet budget targets.
Typically works on projects and initiatives that span 3 - 12 months.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
1.
Design, plan, implement or arrange for educational, recreational and therapeutic activities and services which satisfy participant and contract expectations.

2.
Conduct and record weekly staff meetings and facilitate or participate in special committees or projects to improve program or agency processes.
(10%)
3.
Maintain regular contact with parents and primary caregivers, funding sources, and other service providers.
Provide regular communication through event flyers, calendars and newsletters.
Assist with and monitor case management activities.
(10%)
4.
Assume responsibility for overall program and safety of participants when Program Manager is not on site.
(50%)
5.
Submit and maintain accurate program records in compliance with Goodwill Policy, CARF and/or contract requirements including: meeting minutes, safety reports, employee records and payroll, participant attendance, monthly program reports, p-card summaries, petty cash logs, vehicle logs and other information as required.

6.
Supervise, coach and monitor the activities and performance of program staff.
Recruit, identify talent, and develop program staff to their highest potential.
(30%)
7.
Provide direct support with activities and services based on individual participant or program staffing needs.
(10%)
8.
Assist participants with personal care, which may include some lifting, toileting, feeding, grooming and hygiene and mobility assistance.

Order and maintain an inventory of office, janitorial and program supplies and equipment as needed.

Drive the Goodwill van.
Ensure the vehicle is clean and outing bag is stocked with necessary supplies.
11.
Assist with van record keeping and maintenance.

12.
Leading and Developing Talent: Responsible for input on pay, performance appraisals, work schedules, day-to-day personnel issues, discipline and hiring.
Actively networks and sources for positions within the team.
13.
Project and Change Management: Periodically serves as a team member or subject matter expert for formal project or within the department.
Contributes ideas and helps develop solutions while balancing demands of project work and routine job responsibilities.
