We are seeking to hire a Mechanic I, II, or III to join our Packaging Team.Â

JOB SUMMARYÂ
The Packaging Mechanic I, II, or III is a key member of the packaging team, and is responsible for repairs, maintenance of equipment in the Packaging Department, and ensuing that all department equipment functions properly to meet production requirements. The Mechanic also maintains equipment to meet SOP and cGMP specifications, troubleshoots, and diagnoses equipment failure able to source problems and repair equipment. This Mechanic should be proficient in dismantling and reassembling equipment and using appropriate tools to perform repairs.Â
RESPONSIBILITIES AND LEARNING OPPORTUNITIESÂ
* Works in a team environment with management to ensure departmental goals are prioritized and met.
* Gives direction and support to the other mechanics when needed.
* Ensures that machines are properly maintained and PMâs are performed and documented monthly.
* Serves as primary troubleshooter for all equipment in the department.
Contacts equipment vendors when mechanical problems arise.
* Performs required analysis of all electrical, electronic and mechanical components in the event of equipment failure.
* Establish and perform preventive maintenance on all equipment to ensure proper operation and minimal downtime.
* Performs set-ups and changeovers of all machines in accordance with schedule demands.
* Advises packaging management of equipment performance, problems and status.
* Participates in the installation and debugging of new or modified equipment.
* Follows department SOPâs, cGMP and safety practices.Â
* Maintains proper documentation in accordance with SOPâs.
