Director of Software Engineering for Employee Development and Progression

As a Director of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Employee Platform: Workforce Technology, you lead a technical area and drive impact within teams, technologies, and projects across departments.
Utilize your in-depth knowledge of software, applications, technical processes, and product management to drive multiple complex projects and initiatives, while serving as a primary decision maker for your teams and be a driver of innovation and solution delivery.
Job responsibilities
* Lead technology and process implementations to achieve functional technology objectives
* Partner with Product teams to accomplish the key business deliverables
* Partner with Agility Lead to maintain a clean Jira backlog and Jira Align roadmap
* Make decisions that influence teams' resources, budget, tactical operations, and the execution and implementation of processes and procedures
* Carry governance accountability for coding decisions, control obligations, and measures of success such as cost of ownership, maintainability, and portfolio operations
* Deliver technical solutions that can be leveraged across multiple businesses and domains
* Influence peer leaders and senior stakeholders across the business, product, and technology teams
* Champion the firm's culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
* Experience developing or leading cross-functional teams of technologists
* Experience with hiring, developing, and recognizing talent
* Experience leading a product as a Product Owner or Product Manager
* Expertise in Agile Methodology including tools like Jira and Jira Align
* Experience in running roadmap planning and resource allocations
* Practical cloud native experience
* Expertise in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
* Full stack development
* Java development experience
* UX Design experience
* Data analytics experience
* Experience in database design
