What are we looking for?
The Environmental Staff Scientist willsupport the Environmental business by learning, conducting and Task-managing for Phase I ESAs, NEPA, and Phase II ESAs/Brownfield sites, There will also be potential to be involved with Wetland projects and Asbestos surveys/projects.
This position should expect 10% travel as business needs dictate.
Shift/Schedule: Typically,Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week.
What you'll do:
* Perform environmental services including Phase I and II environmental site assessments (ESAs), NEPA assessments, and others
* Assist in assessment and remediation and field work
* Potential for training and certification in asbestos surveys
* Perform industrial hygiene services to include assisting with indoor air quality assessments
* Ability to prepare technical proposal and reports
* Ability to communicate with clients and regulators to keep projects moving and on schedule
* Ability to self-manage and make decisions during all phases of a project

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
* BS in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or related field
* Strong technical proposal and report writing abilities
* Must be detail-oriented, and a team player with excellent communication, analytical, and organization, as well as time and budget management skills
* Must be computer literate and able to operate most field/office equipment relating to one's discipline
* Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record required
